Privacy Policy

Parentfully respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect personal information when you use the Parentfully app, website, and related services.

1. What Parentfully Does

Parentfully helps parents and caregivers organize family life. This may include routines, schedules, skill-based goals for each child, behaviour notes, discipline plans, family communication, responsibilities, family or child-related financial records, feedback, suggestions, and feature requests.

Because Parentfully may involve family and child-related information, we take privacy seriously.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information.

Account Information: name; email address; phone number, if provided; password or login details; profile photo, if provided; and account settings.

Location Information: Parentfully may collect your city and country. We do not collect your exact street address or live GPS location unless clearly stated and requested in the app.

Family and Child Information: child name; child age or date of birth; child routines; school or activity schedules; child goals and progress; behaviour notes; parenting observations; discipline plans; family responsibilities; and caregiver or co-parent information.

Scheduling and Routine Information: daily routines; calendar entries; reminders; appointments; school events; extracurricular activities; drop-off and pick-up arrangements; and parenting time schedules, where applicable.

Communication Information: messages between invited parents, co-parents, caregivers, or family members; notes; agreements; updates; and shared decisions.

Financial Organization Information: family and/or child-related expenses; payment notes; contribution records; reimbursement requests; and shared budgeting information. Parentfully is not a bank or payment processor.

Feedback, Suggestions, and Feature Requests: We may collect and review this information to improve Parentfully, fix issues, develop new features, and understand user needs.

Device and Usage Information: device type; operating system; app version; login dates; feature usage; crash reports; error logs; and general analytics.

Payment Information: If you purchase a paid plan, payment may be processed by a third-party provider such as Google Play Store or Apple App Store. We may receive basic payment status information, but we do not store full credit card details.

3. App Permissions We May Request

Parentfully may request certain permissions from your device.

Contacts Permission: Parentfully may request contact access to help you invite a co-parent, caregiver, guardian, or family member. We only use contact access to support app features. We do not sell your contacts.

Camera Permission: Parentfully may request camera access so you can upload or capture images, such as profile photos, child-related records, or family documentation.

Alarm Permission: Parentfully may request alarm permission to help reminders, routines, and scheduled parenting tasks work properly.

Notification Permission: Parentfully may request notification permission to send reminders, updates, routine alerts, schedule alerts, account messages, and important app notifications.

You can manage permissions through your device settings. Some features may not work properly if you turn off certain permissions.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • create and manage your account;
  • provide Parentfully features;
  • organize family routines, schedules, goals, notes, and records;
  • send reminders and notifications;
  • allow invited users to collaborate within a family space;
  • allow users to leave feedback, request features, and make suggestions;
  • improve the app;
  • provide customer support;
  • manage subscriptions and payments;
  • protect the safety and security of the app;
  • comply with legal obligations.

6. Children’s Privacy

Parentfully is designed for use by parents, guardians, and authorized caregivers.

Children should not create accounts without the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

Parents and guardians are responsible for deciding what child-related information they enter into Parentfully.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children without parental consent.

7. Sharing Information With Invited Users

Parentfully may allow you to share family information with invited users, such as a spouse, co-parent, guardian, caregiver, or family member.

When you invite someone to your family space, that person may be able to see information you choose to share.

You are responsible for inviting only people who are allowed to access the child or family information.

You can manage access through your account settings, where available.

8. When We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in limited situations.

Service Providers: We may use trusted service providers to help us operate Parentfully, such as hosting, cloud storage, analytics, payment processing, app distribution, app updates or app performance tools. These providers may only use information as needed to provide services to Parentfully.

Legal Requirements: We may share information if required by law, court order, legal process, or government request.

Safety Protection: We may share information if we believe it is necessary to protect a child, user, another person, Parentfully, or the public from serious harm.

Business Changes: If Parentfully is involved in a merger, sale, financing, acquisition, or business transfer, user information may be transferred as part of that process, where allowed by law.

9. Third-Party Tools and Services

Parentfully uses third-party tools and services to operate, host, analyze, improve, distribute, and support the app. These services may process limited personal information only as needed to provide their services to Parentfully.

Current third-party tools used by Parentfully include Google Play Store, Apple App Store, Google Analytics, and DigitalOcean.

Google Play Store is used for Android app distribution, app downloads, app updates, and where applicable, payment or subscription processing. Apple App Store is used for iOS app distribution, app downloads, app updates, and where applicable, payment or subscription processing. Google Analytics helps us understand app or website usage, improve user experience, and monitor general performance. DigitalOcean provides hosting, cloud infrastructure, data storage, and app operation.

These third-party providers may process information according to their own privacy policies and security practices. Parentfully does not sell your personal information. If we add or change major third-party tools in the future, we may update this Privacy Policy.

10. Data Storage and Security

Parentfully uses reasonable safeguards to protect your personal information.

Data is encrypted. We use encryption to help protect information in transit and at rest, where applicable.

However, no app, website, or online system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

You are also responsible for keeping your password and device secure.

11. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer period is required by law.

You may delete your account inside the Parentfully app.

When you delete your account, your account information and related data may be deleted or deactivated, subject to legal, security, backup, dispute resolution, or recordkeeping requirements.

Some information may remain in backups for a limited time before being fully removed.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

Parentfully aims to handle personal information in line with applicable Canadian and Quebec privacy requirements.

14. International Storage and Transfers

Some service providers may store or process information outside Quebec or outside Canada. When information is processed outside your province or country, it may be subject to the laws of that location.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

If we make important changes, we may notify you through the app, email, or website.

The updated policy will show the new “Last Updated” date.
